After collecting you form your hotel or residence in Johannesburg between 06:00 – 06:30, we travel to the Pilanesberg Nature reserve.

On arrival your guide will take you on an exciting morning open 4×4 safari vehicle safari drive in search of the Animals that inhabit the National Park. Our guides are knowledgeable and will give you in depth information on the animal you are viewing and try their out-most to find the members of the Big 5.

During the heat of the day you will enjoy lunch at one of the many rest camps in the National Park before departing on an afternoon closed vehicle safari drive or a visit to Sun City. Our vehicles depart the National Park between 15:30 – 16:00.

Pilanesberg National Park – South Africa’s fourth largest game park is situated in a volcanic crater located within the Bojanala Region of the North West Province. This extinct volcano has developed into an internationally renowned tourist attraction which beholds a breathtaking and fascinating landscape that will provide any soul with invigoration and awe.

The park covers an area of 55 000 hectares. More than 7000 animals live here in a free and unhindered environment. Pilanesberg is home to the BIG 5 (elephant, rhino, leopard, buffalo and lion) and we guarantee that you will be able to tick off most on your list of game sightings! Other animals that you may encounter are zebra, giraffe, cheetah, hyena, hippo, crocodile, jackal, wild cat, various antelope as well as over 300 bird species…the list is endless.

Pilanesberg offers over 200 km of roads for guided or self-drive game viewing. On Pilanesberg Full Day Safari, you will enjoy an informative and highly entertaining game drive conducted by an experienced and knowledgeable tour guide who is eager to answer all your questions about the fascinating wildlife and environment.

Bring your camera to eternally capture your African moments of our beautiful landscape and indigenous wildlife.this full day adventure we head back to Johannesburg in the late afternoon.

One thing is for sure: you will have plenty to talk about on the way back!

Itinerary:

After collecting you from your hotel or residence in Johannesburg or Pretoria early morning (any time from 06h00 and 06h30 depending on what arrangement has been made), we travel to Pilanesberg Game Reserve.

Please note: The drive time from Johannesburg and Pretoria to Pilanesberg Game Reserve is between 2 to 3-hours long. However, it may take longer depending on where we pick up guests and morning traffic in that area. We also stop off along the route for refreshments and a quick breakfast meal (optional and for your own account).

We plan to arrive at Pilanesberg Game Reserve between 09h00 and 09h15. You meet your safari guide and depart at 09h30 for a morning guided safari tour in an open safari vehicle.

Please note: The morning game drive is between 2½ to 3 hours long. The exact timing depends on what you see and whether you spend a bit longer at an exciting animal sighting.

From 12h00 and 13h00, enjoy a light lunch and cool-drink at Pilanesberg Centre which overlooks a large waterhole. There’s a small shop at Pilanesberg Centre where you can buy drinks and snacks for later.

The afternoon game drive is in our closed tour vehicle and is 1½-hours long. Again, the exact timing depends on what you see and how long you spend at an animal sighting.

We plan to leave Pilanesberg at 15h30 for our return to Johannesburg.

Please note: The visit to Sun City is optional. You can choose to spend the afternoon in Pilanesberg Game Reserve on an afternoon game drive in our closed vehicle.

Our vehicles depart the National Park between 15:30 – 16:00.

Drop off in Johannesburg or Pretoria.
